TransPerfect is the world’s largest privately held language/translation services and technology solutions provider. They have just announced that they have been selected as the language services partner for Oxfam Belgium. TransPerfect will provide translations, portions of which will be donated, and will including brochures, PR, and electronic material, predominantly being translated into Dutch and French.
“The ability to present our communications in French and Dutch will increase our capability to overcome language barriers in Belgium and reach out to a greater volume of people.”
Oxfam Belgium is a regional chapter of Oxfam International, a global confederation of organizations looking to find solutions to poverty and injustice around the world. Oxfam Belgium encourages consumers to opt for fair trade products, runs a network of second-hand clothes stores, and fights against injustice and poverty through humanitarian aid, development projects, and political campaigns.
According to TransPerfect Vice President of European Operations Barnaby Wass, “We commend the work of Oxfam Belgium and Oxfam International as a whole, and we are pleased to be able to offer them support as they continue in their work for change.”
Oxfam Belgium’s Communications Officer John Smith commented, “The ability to present our communications in French and Dutch will increase our capability to overcome language barriers in Belgium and reach out to a greater volume of people. We can’t thank TransPerfect enough for their support.”
