Shorts Shorts from Europe: EUNIC Film Screening
The European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) has organised a screening of different short films on the 4th of November 2014. The event will also take place in Cork on November 8th.
The films will be presented by the Alliance Francaise, the Austrian Embassy, the British Council, the Greek Embassy, and the Goethe institut, the Instituto Cervantes, the Instituto Italiano di Cultura, the Romanian Embassy and the Romanian Cultural Institute. Every film will be shown in the language of the participating countries with subtitles translated into English when necessary. After the films you can also vote for your favourite film and try to win a special prize that evening.
Last year’s Short Shorts saw the screening of A Mouse’s Tale by Benjamin Renner (French), Microphobia by Nikki Schuster (Austrian), Head Over Heels by Timothy Reckart (UK), The Centrifuge Brain Project by Till Nowak (German) and The Pill of Happiness by Cecilia Felmeri (Romanian.)
Admission to the event is free but you need to reserve as soon as possible. The Irish Film Institute, located in 6 Eustace St. Temple Bar will be hosting the Dublin event while the Cork one will take place in the Gate Cinema. For more information visit www.dublin.eunic-online.eu.
